In the vibrant and layered city of Lemesos, the project redefines student housing as a living, breathing community. Conceived as a vertical neighborhood, it replaces interior corridors with shaded outdoor “streets in the air,” where daily encounters and exchanges naturally occur.
Four distinct towers – two residential towers and two circulation cores – are unified by a translucent mesh skin that filters light, air, and views, transforming the building into a porous and dynamic organism. At its base, a Mediterranean garden blurs the boundary between city and residence, offering students a place for rest, study, and connection with nature.
Combining concrete, steel, and mesh into a clear and efficient system, the project achieves both structural clarity and environmental balance. Through natural shading, ventilation, and solar energy, it proposes a new model for Mediterranean living – one that breathes, invites connection, and celebrates the coexistence of nature, community, and architecture.
